Job summary

The Arc Ontario is seeking a PC Technician to keep our technology systems running smoothly across multiple locations. You will provide hands-on support for hardware, software, and networks, and assist staff with troubleshooting and training.

Based in Canandaigua with a full-time schedule, you will set up new equipment, maintain servers and audiovisual systems, and help ensure HIPAA/FERPA compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of hardware and software support experience.
• Familiar with Windows systems, printers, and basic LAN/WLAN networking.
• Experience with Windows desktop OS, Microsoft Office, and Exchange is required or preferred.
• Experience with Office 365, Windows Server, AV gear, AD, Entra/Identity, and MDM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and maintains computer and peripheral equipment at main and off-site locations.
• Monitors and responds to the internal help desk system to sustain staff service quality.
• Configuring and preparing new equipment for deployment to agency standards.

Position Overview: Join our team as a PC Technician and play a key role in keeping The Arc Ontario's technology systems running smoothly. You'll provide hands-on support for computer hardware, software, and networks across multiple locations, while also assisting staff with troubleshooting and training. From setting up new equipment to maintaining servers and supporting audiovisual systems, your work will directly support our mission-driven team. Schedule: Full time M-F 8am to 4pm; Flexibility in schedule required to meet agency needs.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of experience working in hardware and software support, and or some combination of customer service and relevant educational experience is preferred.
• Must be familiar and comfortable working with and troubleshooting Windows systems, printers of various types and should be familiar with the basics of LAN/WLAN networking and device hardware repair.
• Will be required to obtain experience in current Windows desktop operating system, Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Exchange and other similar applications.
• Office 365, Windows server, AV gear, Active Driectory, Microsoft Entra/Identity, MDM platforms, website building/maintenance, customer service, and working in HIPAA/FERPAA compliant environments are all a plus.
