Job summary

Advantech USA is seeking an Application Engineer II, Computer Systems in Tustin, CA onsite. The role focuses on embedding and integrating Advantech products into customer systems, with hands-on hardware/software prototyping and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has a strong hardware background, 4+ years in PC hardware or systems engineering, and excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Competitive compensation and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of PC hardware engineering, PC technical support, systems engineering, or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
• Experience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Provide product engineering support to product managers, sales, channel partners and customers.
• Assist in creating customer-specific solutions including pre/post-sale technical assessments and feasibility testing.
• Construct hardware and software demonstration prototypes for sales and marketing efforts.
• Conduct product testing with senior engineers and product managers.
• Develop test plans, capture data, analyze results, and write technical reports.
• Lead technical discussions across Advantech locations and respond to customer questions with data.
