Job summary

Object Technology Solutions, Inc (OTSI) seeks a PC Support 1 to install, maintain, and upgrade workstation hardware and software for end users in Kansas City. The candidate will handle desktop OS configurations, networking basics, and end-user device support with a focus on reliable service and clear communication.

Ideal applicants have 2–3 years in IT environments, familiarity with Windows 10/11, Office 365, DNS, and Active Directory, and are able to lift up to 70 pounds as part of the job

Qualifications

• Windows 10/11 and Office 365 experience required; DNS and Active Directory understanding.
• Familiar with laptop/PC hardware and laser printers.
• 2–3 years of IT environment work experience.
• Ability to communicate technical issues to users non-technically.
• Must be able to perform physical activities including lifting up to 70 pounds.
• General IT knowledge and ability to load software/images to end-user devices.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:

• Under general supervision, install, maintain,and upgrade workstation hardware, software, and operating systems, tabletdevices.
• Working knowledge of standard concepts, bestpractices and procedures related to set up/configuration of desktop hardwareand current operating system.
• Working knowledge of desktop operating andnetworking systems.
• Other competencies as required by specificassignments may include knowledge of end-user devices such as various types oflaptops, desktops, tablets, virus kiosks, and other equipment.
• Communicates effectively with all levels ofemployees, both technical and non-technical.
• Manages time effectively while assuringattention to details.
• Finishes tasks accurately, completely, and in atimely manner.
• Works effectively in both a team environmentand unsupervised.
• Makes sound decisions with general guidance.
• Other competencies as required by specificassignments may include general IT hardware and IT components knowledgeof,
• Education/Experience proven IT generalknowledge OS, general software and hardware identification, the ability to loadsoftware and images to end-user devices.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11,Microsoft Office and Office 365 is required. Understanding of DNS and activedirectory (what it does and how it works).
• Candidate must be familiar with maintaininglaptop and PC hardware in addition to laser printer technology.
• Prior customer service experience includingface to face and via phone, preferred
• Must have a good understanding of technicalissues and be able to relay the issue to the user in a non-technical dialogue.
• 2-3 years of work experience working in an ITenvironment
• In addition to normal office work conditions,candidate must have the ability to perform the physical activities of the job.(Includes, but not limited to awkward positions, balancing, lifting, carrying,pushing and pulling up to 70 pounds)
