Pepper Source is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift in Van Buren, AR. You will operate packaging equipment, perform adjustments, and inspect products to ensure quality. Overtime is required based on production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; mechanical experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Responsibilities

• Starts machine and observes operation to ensure proper function.
• Stops machine and reports malfunctions to supervisor.
• Makes minor adjustments or repairs (opening valves, changing dies, setting guides).
• Inspects packed products for correct packaging per specs.
• Maintains time management and schedules line breaks when lead is unavailable.
• Feeds product to conveyors and mounts supplies like film on spindles.

Job Title: Machine Operator

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

3rd Shift

Hours: Sunday, 10:00pm-6:30am, Monday-Thursday, 10:30pm-7:00am

Overtime required based on production need.

$18.50/hour

Tends machine that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, and/or labeling by performing the following duties:

• Starts machine and observes operation to ensure machine is operating properly.
• Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor.
• Makes minor adjustments or repairs such as opening valves, changing cutting dies, setting guides, clearing away damaged product containers, and setting machine zeros.
• Inspects filled packs to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.
• Demonstrates good time management in choosing the best time to send your line to break when the lead is unavailable.
• Feeds product to conveyors.
• Mounts supplies such as film on spindles.
