Job summary

Patz Corporation is seeking an IT Specialist to maintain, develop and support our computer network hardware and software in a demanding manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, manage Windows and MacOS systems, and upgrade applications and hardware while following established procedures and supervisor instructions.

The role requires 1+ years of experience in a corporate IT setting, familiarity with ERP software, Microsoft 365, and SolidWorks is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in computer science; B.S. degree preferred.
• 1+ years experience supporting Windows & Mac operating systems in a corporate environment; hands-on preferred.
• Help Desk experience acceptable but hands-on preferred.
• Experience with ERP software, Microsoft 365, and SolidWorks is a plus.

$21.75 - $33.00/hour; pay based on qualifications and experience

Working in accordance with verbal and written instructions and established procedure, and as assigned by the supervisor, perform a variety of duties.

• Maintain, develop, upgrade and support the computer network hardware & software. This includes servers, PCs, operating systems, peripherals and office automation equipment.
• Investigate and locate computing & networking errors or equipment malfunction and to revise systems to correct errors or improve techniques.
• Report issues concerning equipment downtime, service, and repair.
• Manage Windows, MacOS, and Windows servers.
• Upgrading, installing, and configuring application software and computer hardware.
• Troubleshooting PC hardware/software and providing technical support to employees.
• Maintaining networks and network file systems.
• Investigate and locate computing & networking errors or equipment malfunction and implement changes to correct errors or improve techniques.
• Report issues concerning equipment downtime, service, and repair.
• Recommend system improvements as needed.
• Train and assist users in the use of software.
• Perform all duties as assigned by the Information Technology Manager.

Education Requirements

• Associates degree in computer science. B.S. Degree (preferred).
• 1+ Years experience preferred supporting Windows & Mac operating systems and all related components in a corporate environment as well as maintaining network hardware/settings. Help Desk experience is acceptable but hands-on experience is preferred.
• Experience working with ERP software, Microsoft 365, & SolidWorks a plus.

Physical Demands

• In an 8-hour day the employee must stand/walk 6-8 hours, sit 1-4 hours.
• Must frequently use hand(s) for repetitive movement single grasping, occasionally pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Must frequently bend, twist, squat, and reach, occasionally climb.
• Must perform Light Heavy Work, lifting 75 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and /or carrying of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Typical Working Conditions

Typical open office environment with a low to moderate level of noise.
