Job summary

Inteva Products in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a hands-on Warehouse/PC&L professional to manage daily operations, ensure on-time deliveries, and optimize inventory processes. You will coordinate with shipping, receiving, and production, and maintain accurate ERP records.

The role requires Associates level education, strong communication, and forklift certification where possible; prior plant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations and ensure on-time component delivery.
• Oversee warehouse replenishment and returnable container management.
• Optimize warehouse staffing with shipping/receiving schedules and production needs.
• Access customer portals for shipping/tracking and reflect in ERP.
• Arrange shipments via customer portals and ensure routing compliance.
• Maintain inventory records and perform cycle counts; drive improvements.
• Lead training for lift truck drivers and schedule recertifications.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures emphasizing safety
• Manage day-to-day operations: on time delivery of components, warehouse replenishment and returnable container management
• Optimize warehouse manning in conjunction with shipping/receiving schedules, production requirements, customer demands and vacation scheduling
• Effectively access and navigate customer portals to obtain shipping and tracking information for inclusion in advance shipping notices within ERP system.
• Utilize customer web portals to arrange shipments, secure transportation, and ensure compliance with customer routing requirements.
• Maintain and manage customer-specific dock codes, routing changes in customer partner’s portals, ensuring shipping instructions are accurately reflected in ERP system.
• Manage the reporting, tracking, repair scheduling, and disposition of customer-owned returnable containers through customer portal systems.
• Ensure standardized work is being followed by all team members
• Follow daily standardized work, audits and check sheets
• Lead, coach and discipline team members as needed
• Track performance metrics daily and drive continuous improvement to have zero safety incidents, 99% inventory accuracy, on time tugger delivery
• Respond to warehouse/material audit findings
• Maintain accurate inventory records; perform daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts and make improvements
• Manage real-time receiving and stocking of purchased parts in the warehouse, ensure all shipment discrepancies
• Participate in new program launches
• Filing all carrier damage notice of claims in a timely manner
• Maintaining warehouse layouts relative to material
• Facilitate training of all lift truck drivers, maintain training records and schedule recertification training
• Monitor and maintain all records for daily lift truck checks
• Initiate and support Continuous Improvement activities

Position Requirements

REQUIRED

• Compute skills: Word, Excel, ERP software (PLEX and SAP)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Must be a hands on person, willing to work on the manufacturing floor
• Prior manufacturing plant experience (Preferred)
• Prior material handling and warehouse or distribution center experience (Preferred)
• Experience using ERP systems, eg. SAP and PLEX (Preferred)
• Forklift Certification (Preferred, does not have to be current)
