PC Data Analytics Intern - Summer 2027

Are you an analytical and strategic thinker who is curious about data? Do you have strong communication, organizational and prioritization skills? If so,our PC Data Analytics internship could be a great opportunity for you!

What You'll Do:

As our PC Data Analytics Intern, you will assist in the creation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI or Excel. You will have direct and impactful tasks that will benefit multiple business units. This is a great opportunity to gain real world experience! In addition, you will also:

• Provide support to our underwriting and claims teams by identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to answer business questions and provide actionable insights.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data from enterprise databases.
• Assist with data validation, cleansing and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate reporting.
• Document data definitions, business rules, and analytical methodologies.

As an intern, you will also participate in corporate activities designed to provide exposure to our industry, organization, and culture. Our internship program follows an 80/10/10 approach:

• 80% of your time will be spent performing meaningful work and project-based assignments within your department.
• 10% of your time will be dedicated to learning from and networking with employees in other areas of the organization.
• 10% of your time will be spent participating in shared internship experiences that provide insight into our culture, leadership, and business operations.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

• Be a current undergraduate college student, working toward a college degree in data analytics, statistics, or a similar field.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel required.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a self-starter, take initiative and be highly motivated.
• Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
• Be able to work full-time (8am-4:30pm M-F) summer 2027.
• Be able to work in-person at our home office in West Des Moines, IA.
