Job summary

HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, FL is seeking a PBX Operator PRN to manage patient and staff communications, answer calls, and route inquiries with courteous, clear service.

You will operate paging systems, monitor alarms, maintain directories, and support daily operations while upholding confidentiality and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Responds to incoming calls in a timely manner and directs caller to appropriate destination, providing smooth, clear, and professional courteous communication.
• Provides the appropriate overhead paging and utilization of the Inforad paging software to page internally.
• Monitors all alarms located in PBX and notifies appropriate personnel as required; responds quickly and calmly to disaster and emergency situations.
• Corrects and updates posted information as needed; assists with maintaining directories and on-call lists; identifies inconsistencies and suggests improvements.
• Accurately utilizes features of PBX consoles, headsets, telephones and related equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness, safety and security of the PBX area; preserves confidentiality and integrity of patient data.

As a PBX Operator, you will provide positive communication between patients, staff,physiciansand the facility. What You Will DoInThis Role

Assistwithmaintainingcleanliness,safetyand security of the PBX area. Maintains confidentiality,securityand integrity of patient and organizational data.

Attends all in-services and other training as made available. Participates on committees and special projects as made available or requested.
