Responsibilities

The PBX Operator / Receptionist is responsible for answering the switchboard, paging overhead, greeting visitors, and directing them to the appropriate departments. The role includes monitoring hospital alarms and being familiar with all hospital emergency codes. Effective communication with the population served is essential.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires).
• Previous PBX experience preferred.
• Experience in office or receptionist roles.
• Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service experience preferred.
