Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a part-time PBX switchboard operator to support a busy hospital communications center in Shawnee Mission, KS. You will answer and transfer calls promptly, document events, and stay current with codes, alerts, and procedures while training new staff.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year experience in high-volume call environments, strong customer service, and the ability to multitask under pressure. A high school diploma is required, with an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year PBX switchboard/operator experience in high-volume environment.
• Excellent customer service required.
• HIPAA compliance knowledge preferred.

Job Description:

• Other duties as assigned. Answers and transfers incoming calls promptly and accurately.
• Responds quickly and accurately to all codes, alerts, drills, and testing. Documents all event details in a timely and accurate manner.
• Executes all communications efficiently and accurately.
• Stays current and knowledgeable in all applicable hospital, code, and departmental procedures.
• Assists with training new staff members on call processing procedures.
