Responsibilities

Answer the PBX console by the third ring.
Answer Code Blue or rehab code blue TV screen; page overhead, notify ICU/ER Doctor, voice page ER team, and call Lab; complete procedure quickly.
Act as information service for hospital guests from 5p-9a.
Page on I and II-way radios and use the message flash paging system when necessary.
Respond quickly and notify proper personnel on all emergencies.
Disperse and log papers to employees for temporary use.

Position Summary:

Responsible for operating the switchboard, I and II way paging, code blue and TDD telephones, taking and relaying messages, monitoring alarms and notifying proper personnel. Registers, takes monies for Hospitality House Guests and processes out-going mail. Provide communication for the hospital.
