Job summary

Southbridge Public Schools’ SMS is seeking a PBIS Coach (Tier 1) to lead district-wide PBIS efforts and provide training to school teams. The role supports a strong culture of climate and instruction across SMS and the middle/high school campuses in Southbridge, MA.

The Part-Time position requires collaboration, data-driven decision making, and ongoing coaching of PBIS teams. Immediate start, with evening meetings and travel as needed, and a $1500 stipend may be provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of research related to Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports at all three tiers: universal, secondary and tertiary.
• Experience planning and conducting professional development / training.
• Demonstrated leadership and project organizational skills (planning, implementing, evaluation).
• Ability to work collaboratively with various groups and gain consensus related to project implementation and other problem solving.
• Experience in data-based decision making.
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with individuals, teams, and groups (teachers, parents, administrators and support staff).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate sustainability and expansion of PBIS practices district-wide.
• Provide and/or facilitate quality training at all three tiers of PBIS: universal, secondary and tertiary.
• Recruitment, staffing, training, and ongoing support to district level PBIS Coaches.
• Oversee school level data collection, management and analysis.
• Train and provide ongoing technical and data analysis support to staff who use school-wide data collection systems.
• Train and provide ongoing technical and data analysis support to staff who use secondary tier data collection systems.
• Collect and monitor school databases to track and analyze student behavioral data including climate survey patterns.
• Participate in regional, statewide and national PBIS leadership conferences and meetings.
• Ongoing coaching of school-based PBIS teams.
• Attend monthly coaches meetings held outside of school hours for an hour each month.
• Attend all coaches and team trainings throughout the school year.
