Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Payroll & HRIS Manager to lead end-to-end payroll for all employees and act as the UKG HRIS administrator. You will ensure compliance with regulations, manage system updates, and collaborate with HR and Finance to optimize processes and reporting.

The role focuses on data accuracy, process improvements, and delivering training and support to HRIS users across the organization. A strong, collaborative, and confidential approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years of payroll administration experience.
• Experience with UKG, including payroll processing.
• Experience with multi-state payroll.
• Experience with at least 1 HRIS implementation including payroll.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Technology savvy and strong communication skills.
• Collaborative attitude with employees at all levels.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring compliance and timeliness.
• Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, tax filings, and year-end processes.
• Review payroll reports, detect discrepancies, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Finance for budgeting and reporting needs.
• Maintain payroll policies and compliance documentation.
• Analyze processes and recommend UKG or process improvements.
• Ensure data quality and adherence to standards.
• Respond to HR, Finance, and executive data requests.
• Manage UKG system updates, testing, and troubleshooting with IT/HRIS vendor.
• Maintain workflows, automations, and user permissions in UKG.
• Deliver HRIS user training and support across the organization.
• Assist field HR with HRIS changes as needed.
• Support HR technology projects and integrations.
