Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in payroll systems, HRIS, or related enterprise apps with leadership accountability.
• Hands-on experience configuring or implementing payroll/workforce platforms.
• Proven incident diagnosis, root-cause analysis, and resolution across apps, integrations, and data.
• Strong understanding of Hours-to-Gross, Gross-to-Net, controls, and U.S./Canadian payroll requirements.
• Experience leading technical teams, contractors, and vendors with clear ownership.
• Familiarity with integrations, APIs, secure file transfers, and change management.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Own the multiyear payroll tech roadmap and architectural standards.
• Provide senior technical leadership for payroll applications, integrations, data, and postings.
• Lead incident response from containment to permanent solution and prevention.
• Drive payroll-cycle readiness, releases, go-lives, and stabilization.
• Partner with operations, HR IT, Finance, Security, and audit teams.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and audit-ready artifacts.
