Job summary

Toast Tab, Inc. is seeking an Associate Product Designer to shape payroll and team-management experiences within Toast's next-generation product suite.

You will collaborate with designers, PMs, and engineers to turn complex payroll workflows into intuitive interfaces that help managers and employees pay and manage their teams confidently. This remote-friendly, US-based role emphasizes design system grounding, strong craft, and user empathy, with a hybrid work setup including Boston and other US

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of design experience grounded in a design system.
• Strong UX/UI fundamentals for web and native mobile.
• Ability to collaborate with designers, PMs and engineers.
• Experience with AI in design is a plus.
• Proficient in design handoff and pixel-perfect output.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of designers, PMs, and engineers to shape payroll UX.
• Turn complex payroll workflows into intuitive interfaces.
• Onboard businesses and employees and prepare them for payroll.
• Review shifts, time and labor costs before payroll processing.
• Help users understand payroll reports, deductions, and payments.
