TempWorks Software in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Lead Payroll Specialist to supervise a team of payroll professionals and coordinate with internal and client teams to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance with SLAs. You will drive process improvements and leverage TempWorks software to optimize client operations.

• Advanced understanding of payroll procedures with aptitude for math/accounting.
• Ability to take direction and independently follow multi-step procedures to consistently meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of a team of Payroll Specialists and Payroll Technicians to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing.
• Manage team workload and priorities to meet service level expectations.
• Provide coaching and feedback for professional development and performance evaluations.
• Monitor processing quality, identify trends and risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize workflows and maintain payroll documentation.
