Job summary

Fanatics is seeking a Manager, Payroll Tax to lead multi-state payroll tax operations in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee filings, deposits, year-end processing, audits, and process improvements, partnering with Payroll, HRIS, and external vendors to ensure compliance and accuracy.

The role requires CPP certification, a bachelor’s degree, and 7+ years of payroll tax experience in high-volume settings. Strong leadership and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred in a related field.
• CPP certification required.
• 7+ years of multi-state, multi-FEIN payroll tax experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience leading payroll tax professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll tax operations across multiple states, localities, and FEINs with accurate filings and reconciliations.
• Coach and develop payroll tax team members and address escalations.
• Oversee year-end processing (W-2/W-2c) and related audits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and implement system changes.
• Collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, and external vendors (Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll, ADP) to optimize tax setups and configurations.
