This role is primarily project-based and will focus on payroll cleanup, reconciliations, and year-end support following several years of organizational turnover.

The Payroll Specialist will play a key role in preparing payroll and benefits data for a future HRIS implementation.

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar payroll-focused role.
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems and payroll reporting.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support accurate and timely payroll processing across recurring pay cycles.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve historical discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure payroll accuracy and deadline adherence.
• Support cleanup and documentation of payroll and benefits data.
• Partner with HR and Finance to prepare for HRIS and benefits system migration.
