Job summary

Quest Software Canada Inc is seeking a Regional Payroll Sr. Advisor to join our Global Finance and Shared Services team, driving payroll across multiple regions.

You will ensure accurate wage calculations, tax withholdings, and deductions while preparing payroll journals and analytics. Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of regional or multinational payroll experience, with strong knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP or Dayforce, and excellent communication skills to partner across HR, Finance

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive payroll experience with regional or multinational responsibility.
• Experience across multiple countries in EMEA, Americas, and/or APJ with 500+ employees.
• Experience managing relationships with external and internal partners.
• Strong payroll compliance, audits, controls and risk management.
• Payroll reconciliations, payroll accounting, statutory reporting and analytics.
• Intermediate Excel and data modelling.
• Experience with payroll systems like ADP or Dayforce.
• Data analytics and reporting skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations across assigned region (EMEA, APJ or other).
• Ensure accurate payroll processing, on time delivery and compliance.
• Manage relationships with outsourced payroll providers.
• Process and review payroll calculations including earnings, bonuses, taxes, and deductions.
• Oversee payroll reconciliations, reports, audits, and payroll journals.
• Monitor compliance with country-specific labor, tax and social insurance rules.
• Maintain payroll process documentation, controls and governance.
• Partner with HR, Finance, HRIS, Legal and Benefits teams for payroll administration.
• Participate in payroll projects for standardization and automation.
• Support strategic initiatives from Global Payroll Director.
• Prepare and review Payroll team journals and reconcile discrepancies.
• Handle month, quarter and year accruals.

Overview

Quest Software is looking for a skilled Regional Payroll Sr. Advisor to join our Global Finance and Shared Services team across multiple countries.

This position will be responsible for processing company payroll. Will ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings and company deductions. Prepare statistical reports on salaries, commissions, bonuses, vacation, sick, disability and workers compensation leave, taxes and withholdings. Prepares and review Payroll Journal entries.

Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations across an assigned region including EMEA, APJ, or other designated countries.
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with local statutory requirements.
• Manage regional relationships with outsourced payroll providers.
• Process and review payroll calculations including earnings, commissions, bonuses, equity transactions, taxes, benefits, deductions, and off-cycle payments.
• Oversee payroll reconciliations, reporting, audits, payroll journals, and funding activities.
• Monitor payroll compliance with country-specific labor, tax, social insurance, and reporting regulations.
• Maintain payroll process documentation, controls, SOPs, and governance requirements.
• Partner with HR, Finance, HRIS, Legal, Benefits, and People Operations teams to ensure seamless payroll administration.
• Participate in payroll projects focused on standardization, automation, compliance improvements, and employee experience optimization.
• Supports strategic initiatives established by the Global Payroll Director.
• Prepares and review Payroll team’s Journal entries
• Identify and reconcile discrepancies
• Month, Quarter and year accruals

Qualifications

Required

• 6+ years of progressive payroll experience, including regional or multinational payroll responsibility.
• Experience processing payroll across multiple countries within EMEA, Americas, and/or APJ regions and Tax regulations for 500+ employees.
• Experience managing relationships with external and internal partners.
• Demonstrated experience in payroll compliance, audits, internal controls, and risk management.
• Advanced experience with payroll reconciliations, payroll accounting, statutory reporting, and payroll analytics.
• Intermediate Excel and Data Modelling
• Experience with: Payroll system like ADP, Dayforce or other payroll systems.
• Data Analytic and reporting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Global Payroll Management Certificate (GPMC), or equivalent certification.
