Job summary

Quotient|HR is seeking a Payroll Specialist Advisor who will serve as the payroll expert for our clients and act as the go-to resource for inquiries and payroll issues across client accounts. This remote, fast-paced role focuses on accuracy, timeliness, and proactive client service.

You will support international payroll for multi-country clients, stay organized across several engagements, and collaborate with payroll vendors to ensure compliant, on-time payments.

Position Summary

As a Payroll Specialist Advisor, you will be a trusted partner to our clients and their go-to person for payroll. You will get to know each client's business, make sure their employees are paid correctly and on time, answer their questions quickly, and solve problems before they grow. Some clients have employees in more than one country, so you will also support international payroll.

This is a fast-paced, client-first role where priorities can change quickly. You will need to stay organized, support several clients at once, and deliver accurate work every time.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main payroll contact for a group of clients, building strong and trusted relationships.
• Learn each client's business, people, and payroll needs so your advice fits them.
• Run and check payroll for clients so their employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Respond to client questions quickly and clearly, and follow through until each issue is resolved.
• Review client payroll details (hours, deductions, benefits, and taxes) and fix anything that does not look right before it reaches their employees.
• Keep clients on track with payroll deadlines, working with our team and payroll vendors behind the scenes.
• Help clients stay compliant with payroll tax and employment rules, and let them know early when something needs attention.
• Welcome new clients, set up their payroll, and walk them through how we will work together.
• Share ideas with clients to make their payroll faster, easier, or more accurate.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in a client-facing, customer service, or account management role.
• A genuine interest in helping clients succeed and building lasting relationships.
• Strong attention to detail, even under tight deadlines.
• Good organization and the ability to balance several clients' needs at once.
• Clear, friendly, and professional communication, both in writing and on calls.
• Comfort with payroll software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting clients with multi-country payroll (for example, Europe or Asia-Pacific).
• Experience with payroll platforms such as Workday, ADP, SAP, or UKG.
• A payroll certification such as FPC or CPP.
• Experience serving clients in consulting, outsourcing, or shared services.
