Job summary

Familylinks is seeking a Payroll Specialist/Staff Accountant in Pittsburgh to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain payroll records, and support HR and Finance on payroll operations, reporting, audits, and process improvements.

The role also assists with Accounts Payable processing and general accounting tasks, reporting to the Director of Finance. Compensation ranges from $53,000 to $58,000 annually.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus four years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years with electronic timekeeping systems in companies with 100+ employees.
• Associate’s degree in business, Accounting, or related field plus 2 years using electronic timekeeping systems in companies with at least 300 employees is preferred.
• Must manage confidential information with accuracy and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Compile payroll data from hours, taxes, insurance, and other deductions.
• Review wages for raises, promotions, exemptions, and changes to ensure accuracy.
• Process off-cycle payroll, special payments, and final paychecks as required.
• Support monthly/quarterly tax filings and audits with Finance and HR.
