Job summary

Adecco in Rock Hill, SC, is seeking a payroll specialist for a temp-to-hire role with Fortune 500 exposure. You will manage payroll for distribution center associates, ensure SOX compliance, and maintain Kronos data and reports.

The position requires 1–3 years in payroll/timekeeping, proficiency with Excel/Word, and strong accuracy. Hours are 8am–5pm, Mon–Fri, with on-campus parking and business casual attire.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years payroll or timekeeping experience
• Degree preferred
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 8a-5p
• Pay rate: $24/hr

Responsibilities

• Manage all payroll activities for distribution center associates, including new hires, employee record updates, terminations, and payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and payroll policies.
• Enter and maintain compensation changes (merit increases) in Kronos.
• Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly payroll and attendance reports.
• Maintain Kronos data: departments, timecards, PTO, tax updates, and transfers.
• Serve as Kronos/timekeeping SME, supporting employees and management.
• Audit payroll/timekeeping records before processing.
• Process terminations and off-cycle payroll requests for non-exempt staff.
• Provide payroll/attendance support by responding to employee inquiries.
• Administer Time & Attendance processes and related audits.
• Monitor attendance policies and corrective actions.
