Job summary

Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) is a prime contractor for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP).

BPMI payroll specialists support payroll operations for over 1,000 employees across Pennsylvania and New York, using ADP, Oracle Time and Labor, and SAP Success Factors. This full-time position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• Four (4) years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute BPMI payroll with limited oversight.
• Enter or review routine to moderately complex payroll data in ADP and timekeeping systems.
• Adjust pay rates, taxes, and deductions as required.
• Research, resolve, and communicate payroll inquiries to internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile payroll general ledger and bank accounts.
• Ensure payroll complies with tax regulations and GAAP.
• Stay updated on federal and state regulations affecting BPMI payroll.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data.
• Support internal and external audits (DCAA) with limited oversight.
• Participate in process improvements and system upgrades.
