The position serves as a primary resource for departments and employees regarding payroll questions and procedures, collaborating with Accounting, Human Resources, and payroll system vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting/finance, or related field.
• Two to five years of payroll processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and process day-to-day county payroll, ensuring timely and accurate calculations.
• Handle payroll deductions, tax withholdings, and reconciliations to maintain precise payroll records.
• Prepare and file payroll reports, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and county policies.
• Serve as a primary resource for departments and employees on payroll questions and procedures.
