Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Goshen, IN to support the Corporate Payroll function. The role handles time and attendance, weekly payroll processing, data collection for accurate records, and reporting across month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cycles.

The candidate will audit payroll data, reconcile deposits and withholdings, and resolve discrepancies while staying current on payroll regulations. Collaboration with Payroll Clerks and HR is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR or Business, or equivalent payroll/HR support experience.
• 2 years of experience in HR payroll.
• Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.
• Exposure to payroll practices and HR functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with internal Payroll/HR inquiries or requests.
• Prepare responses to government notices regarding employee tax filings.
• Ensure payroll transactions comply with policies.
• Track regular/overtime pay and factor bonuses into payroll.
• Calculate and process tax withholdings, deductions, and retirement contributions.
• Screen time inputs for errors and reconcile payroll records.
• Process payroll adjustments for leave and benefits.
• Generate accrual entries and respond to payroll inquiries.
• Maintain knowledge of payroll rules and laws.
