Job summary

Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton seeks a Payroll Specialist to manage the complete biweekly payroll cycle and maintain payroll data in our HRIS. You will ensure California wage-and-hour compliance and assist with annual payroll tasks while supporting employees, managers, HR, and Finance.

The role requires strong Excel skills, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced school environment. This is a full-time on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of California payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal payroll and wage-and-hour requirements.
• Excellent Excel skills and data analysis abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end biweekly payroll processing and data maintenance.
• Audit timekeeping and payroll inputs for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate inputs from HR, managers, and external providers; resolve exceptions.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with year-end tasks (W-2, taxes).
• Maintain payroll records and support audits with documentation.
