Qualifications

• Proven experience as Payroll Assistant or Payroll Clerk.
• Strong payroll principles understanding.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and payroll software.
• Exceptional numerical skills and high attention to detail.
• Organised with strong time-management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Construction industry experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for all employees accurately and timely.
• Collect, verify, and input timesheet data and other payroll information.
• Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and bonuses.
• Address payroll queries with professionalism and discretion.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations.
• Maintain organised and confidential payroll records and employee files.
• Assist with year-end reports and W-2 forms.
• Liaise with HR to ensure employee data accuracy.
