Texas Health Resources is seeking a Payroll Specialist III for a hybrid role based in Arlington, TX. You will handle complex payroll inquiries, tax issues, and reporting, coordinating with accounting to ensure GL accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of payroll experience, familiarity with PeopleSoft Payroll (Oracle preferred), and strong knowledge of payroll processes. The position offers hybrid work options and opportunities for mentorship.

• Works with General Accounting to ensure payroll entries and sub-ledgers are reflected in the General Ledger.
• Performs special projects as assigned by leadership.

Payroll Specialist III

Work Location: Remote: Texas Health Corporate, 612 E. Lamar Blvd., Arlington, TX 76011

Work Hours: Full Time Days (8:00am-5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week (Hybrid work allowed at manager's discretion)

What You Will Do

• Answers complex customer inquiries and tracks issue resolution for payroll involving paychecks and direct deposit issues, employee payroll deductions, processing executive payroll, federal/state and local tax related issues, etc. 25%
• Researches and resolves complex payroll issues 25%
• Manage State and local tax issues including keeping track of out of state workers and jurisdictional requirements 20%
• Prepares payroll related weekly/monthly/year-end required reporting and other necessary payroll related information 15%
• Works with the General Accounting Department to verify that payroll entries and sub-ledgers are accurately reflected on the General Ledger 10%
• Special projects as assigned by leadership 5%

What You Need:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Req
• Bachelor's Degree BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Pref

Experience

• 5 Years Payroll experience Req
• Experience with PeopleSoft (PS) Payroll desired but Oracle Payroll systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and General Ledger impacts, and experience with payroll implementations, integrations, or process improvements preferred.
