Job summary

CSU Bakersfield is seeking a Payroll Technician II to process and manage payroll for state and auxiliary employees. You will ensure timely and accurate payments, reconcile timekeeping records, and support campus payroll operations across multiple pay plans.

The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of HRIS systems, and the ability to handle confidential information. The position is on-site with a comprehensive CSU benefits package.

Qualifications

• Two years payroll and personnel experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Process a variety of payroll transactions for state and auxiliary employees.
• Review and audit Payroll Input Management System (PIMS) entries for accuracy.
• Troubleshoot issues in ADP and related payroll systems.
• Prepare reports for auditing and compliance purposes.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and respond to inquiries.
