The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a Payroll Specialist I to process monthly payrolls, ensure accurate time and labor data, and manage deductions and year-end reporting. The role requires strong data entry, Excel skills, and experience with HRIS systems (PeopleSoft).

Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree and three years of payroll experience; a Bachelor's in Business/Accounting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; three years payroll experience.
• Two years experience with PeopleSoft or similar HRIS.
• Equivalency of relevant experience and education accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing monthly payrolls for employees and retirees.
• Ensure time and labor data is complete and accurate for payroll.
• Enter deductions, adjustments, and payroll data; assist with year-end W-2 processing.
• Provide customer service via email/phone for payroll questions and issues.
