Job summary

PrideStaff Financial is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Irving, Texas on a Direct Hire basis. This role is ideal for someone with payroll experience or a recent graduate launching a career in HR or Payroll.

Prior payroll exposure is welcomed but not required. You will work with numbers and data, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payroll
• Review timekeeping records and payroll changes
• Enter and maintain employee payroll data
• Review payroll reports for discrepancies
• Research and resolve payroll questions
• Assist with deductions, garnishments and employee changes
• Support payroll tax reporting and compliance
• Reconcile payroll information and maintain records
• Assist with year-end activities including W-2s
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting and other teams
• Maintain confidential payroll information
• Assist with reporting, audits and special projects
• Learn payroll regulations and systems while developing expertise

What You'll Do

• Assist with processing accurate and timely payroll
• Review timekeeping records, payroll changes, deductions and other payroll information
• Enter and maintain employee payroll data
• Review payroll reports and identify discrepancies
• Research and resolve payroll-related questions
• Assist with payroll deductions, garnishments and employee changes
• Support payroll tax reporting and compliance activities
• Reconcile payroll information and maintain accurate records
• Assist with year-end payroll activities including W-2s
• Partner with HR, Accounting and other internal teams
• Maintain confidential employee and payroll information
• Assist with reporting, audits and special projects
• Learn payroll regulations, processes and systems while developing your payroll expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources or a related field OR previous payroll experience
