TrulyHired is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Beaufort, South Carolina to perform complex payroll functions and maintain payroll-related records. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient payroll operation and demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities include verifying employee information, processing payroll vendor payments, and assisting in training payroll staff. A high school diploma and related experience are required. This role is critical for ensuring accurate payroll processes.
Performs complex payroll functions to ensure efficient and effective payroll operation and completion. Provides assistance to supervisor, school and central office personnel and the general public as required.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Payroll Administrator, Director of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be detail oriented and have demonstrated skill and knowledge of financial database, spreadsheet, and word-processing software. Individual must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, a strong work ethic, professional attitude, strong problem solving skills, data analysis and ability to work accurately and independently as well as with the team in a fast-paced, high volume environment. Successful individual will need to work professionally and efficiently with all employees and vendors.
