The Heritage Group is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support day-to-day payroll operations in a remote role with occasional travel to Indianapolis, IN. You will review hourly and salary payroll, manage data entry and audits, and finalize payroll processing within the Workday system.
You will handle payroll forms, garnishments, union payments, and post-payroll reporting, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity. Collaboration with HRSS teams and adherence to laws are essential.

Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Payroll, the Payroll Specialist supports the day-to-day in a pay cycle reviewing all phases of hourly and salary payroll to include managing the data entry process, auditing, and finalizing payrolls operations across the Workday payroll team.
The Payroll Specialist is the first point of contact regarding payroll forms, union payroll correspondence and payments, employee garnishment and child support payments, employee payroll tax forms and post payroll activities as well as managing the data entry/audit process for direct deposit, employee tax setup for payroll, employee tax forms, Fresh Service ticketing system and post payroll reporting and data collection for audit requests.
This role is remote, with occasional travel into the Indianapolis, IN offices. Qualified candidates must currently reside within 75 miles of the Indianapolis, IN area.
