Job summary

Maersk, a global logistics leader, is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Santa Fe Springs, CA. You will handle accurate payroll processing and ensure compliance while partnering with HR, Finance and operations to optimize workflows.

The role requires 3–5 years of payroll experience, ADP familiarity, and advanced Excel skills. You’ll contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced, international environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with ADP payroll systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll practices and legislation.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-payroll, on-cycle payroll, and off-cycle processing.
• Review and reconcile time records and payroll data.
• Process overtime, holiday pay, PTO, and retroactive adjustments.
• Investigate payroll discrepancies and inquiries.
• Support reconciliations, reports, audits, and year-end activities.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Operations and People Partners.
• Identify risks and suggest process improvements.
