Les Schwab Tire Center is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage wage attachments, garnishments, and deductions with precision and confidentiality. The role interfaces with government agencies, payroll, HR, and store personnel to ensure compliant and timely processing.

You will also handle final pay, payroll adjustments, and monthly Manager Bonus cycles while maintaining strict regulatory adherence and data accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years payroll processing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Process wage attachments (garnishments, child support, tax levies) in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Review legal documents to determine validity, priority, and withholding amounts.
• Set up and monitor deductions in payroll systems for accurate withholding and remittance.
• Prepare and submit documentation to issuing agencies, courts, or legal representatives.
• Maintain records of all wage attachment activity and communications.
• Communicate with affected employees regarding deductions and schedules.
• Reconcile garnishment and levy accounts for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with payroll, HR, and legal teams to ensure policy consistency.
• Stay updated on changes in wage attachment laws and adjust processes accordingly.
• Manage high volume wage attachment inquiries from employees and agencies.
• Process daily final paychecks and payroll adjustments; support Manager Bonus cycle monthly.
• Process payroll cycle adjustments and corrections with HR and Timekeeping teams.
• Handle multiple phone calls daily to assist employees and management.
• Attend to all duties with confidentiality and professionalism.
