Job summary

Nextep is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Minnesota. You will process payroll data, including adjustments, special payments, tax allocations, and deductions, while supporting a roster of clients and using Nextep's online platform and timekeeping system.

You will be the primary contact for client payroll inquiries, ensuring timely guidance and issue resolution. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of payroll or customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in payroll data.
• Experience in payroll or customer service is preferred (1–2 years).

Responsibilities

• Process payroll data including adjustments, special payments, tax allocations, and deductions.
• Support a dedicated roster of clients and administer Nextep's payroll system and timekeeping platform.
• Serve as the point of contact for client payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
