THE ROLE

The Payroll Specialist will assist with day-to-day payroll operations and the accurate and timely processing for our multi-state weekly and biweekly payrolls. This position reports to the Director of Payroll.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Data processing in UltiPro payroll system
2. Review and process employee new hire/rehire information and terminations
3. Garnishment compliance and calculations
4. 401k setup and processing
5. Payroll and tax reconciliation
6. Daily communication with our various locations regarding payroll matters
7. Create and run ad hoc Business Intelligence reports
8. Multiple worksite and labor statistic reporting

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must have solid understanding of payroll processes and procedures
2. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel
3. General knowledge of basic accounting practices
4. Excellent Customer Service and communication skills
5. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
6. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
