The position emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and cross-training within the payroll team. Ideal candidates will have five years of payroll experience, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs regular processing of payroll activities; audits inputs and maintains payroll and new-hire data.
• Prepares processes and audits adjustments, benefits, deductions, garnishments, and final paychecks in accordance with laws.
• Utilizes payroll systems to set up deductions, new hires, direct deposits, and tax withholding.
• Audits payroll data and reviews payroll registers for accuracy and conformance with regulations.
• Assists management with training and validating automated payroll systems; resolves discrepancies.
• Responds to payroll inquiries and provides resolution information.
• Maintains current knowledge of payroll policies and procedures.
• Provides cross-training and back-up support to payroll staff.
