Job summary

Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits in Union City, CA is seeking a Payroll Specialist to deliver accurate and timely payroll processing, filings, and reporting. The role ensures compliance with payroll laws and adapts to evolving regulations.

You will manage Kronos timekeeping, prepare year-end reports, handle garnishments, and develop payroll procedures, with opportunities for growth in a large, well-established beverage distribution leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Process daily payroll department operations
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
• Reconcile payroll before transmission and validate reports
• Understand proper taxation of employer-paid benefits
• Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
• Execute Kronos time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
• Perform year-end reporting and related tasks
• Develop ad hoc payroll reporting as needed
• Load import files from Human Resources and balance payroll information
• Prepare divisional payroll reports weekly and ensure on-time payroll processing
