Job summary

LHH US is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in the United States. The role focuses on accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple cycles, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

You will work closely with HR and Accounting to maintain accurate payroll data and resolve employee inquiries. The position requires a minimum of 2 years in payroll processing, proficiency with major payroll systems, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Paychex, Workday, or similar platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• CPP certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time.
• Review and verify employee timecards, earnings, deductions, and payroll adjustments.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Process new hires, terminations, garnishments, direct deposits, and tax withholdings.
• Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end activities, including W-2 preparation.
• Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate employee and payroll data.
• Support payroll audits and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
