Job summary

Troon, headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our corporate team. You will manage high-volume payroll processing, garnishments, and time and attendance using UKG Pro and Workforce Dimensions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of payroll experience, strong attention to detail, excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in high-volume payroll.
• Experience with UKG Pro and/or Workforce Dimensions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and time & attendance data; answer questions for employees and managers.
• Ensure garnishments are submitted to UKG Pro on time and verify accuracy.
• Set up and process earnings and deductions accurately and promptly.
• Troubleshoot data issues in UKG Pro and Workforce Dimensions.
• Generate manual payroll checks promptly and accurately.
• Distribute payroll checks to the field in a timely manner.
• Research and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
• Participate in and support various payroll projects; contribute to team goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilizes the payroll and time and attendance systems to answer questions, process payroll, review/update information and resolve issues for employees and managers.
• Ensures garnishments are submitted to UKG Pro timely and review all entered garnishments and calculations for accuracy.
• Sets up and processes various earnings and deductions requests/spreadsheets accurately and timely.
• Troubleshoots data related issues in both UKG Pro and Workforce Dimensions.
• Generates manual checks in atimely and accurate manner.
• Ensures all payroll checks are distributed timely to the field.
• Researches and resolves payroll related inquiries from employees and management.
• Fully participates and ensures success of various projects as assigned.
• Demonstrates strong focus on teamwork and initiatives as well as manages independent workload.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree.
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in high volume payroll.

Other Qualifications

• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Must possess strong customer service skills.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required.
• UKG experience is a plus.
