Job summary

Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a part-time Greeter to warmly welcome guests, guide them to tables, and help maintain a smooth dining flow in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You'll be responsible for greeting guests, seating, taking reservations, and assisting service staff while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest service. No prior experience required; training provided, with emphasis on reliability and a friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes each guest with a smile and friendly greeting and escorts them to their assigned table.
• Controls the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following check procedures.
• Assigns opening or closing side duties and supervises side work to ensure setups are complete before staff depart.
• Maintains the reservation book, takes calls, and notes reservations and special requests from guests.
• Remains knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, and general service procedures.
• Maintains appearance and cleanliness in all service areas and remains visible on the dining room floor.
• Checks tables daily before service to ensure proper settings; assists with bussing and cocktail orders.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager; aims to create a memorable experience.

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcomes each guest with a smile and friendly greeting and escorts them to their assigned table.

Controls the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following and enforcing check issue procedures.

Assigns opening or closing side duties. Supervises side work and ensures completed setups of all stations before departure of service staff.

Maintains the reservation book, takes incoming telephone calls, and notes reservations and special requests from guests.

Remains knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, and general service procedures.

Maintains standards of appearance and cleanliness in all service areas.

Remains visible on the dining room floor and is easily accessible to guests, staff, and management.

Checks all tables daily before service to ensure proper settings.

Assists with side work and supports service staff with bussing tables and taking cocktail orders.

Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.

Works to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for golfers and diners alike.

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
