Job summary

Brilliant Financial Staffing is partnering with a Santa Ana client to hire a Payroll Specialist on a contract basis. The role supports 2,500+ employees with weekly and bi-weekly payroll, leveraging UKG and strong Excel skills.

You will ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance, and reporting, collaborating with HR and finance on timekeeping data and garnishments, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Experience handling high-volume payroll across multiple states.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process payroll for 2,500+ employees weekly and bi-weekly.
• Reconcile timecards and payroll data in UKG.
• Audit and report on payroll data monthly.
• Process garnishments as required.
• Support projects involving timekeeping data uploads to UKG.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Role Overview: Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for a Payroll Specialist. Our client located in Santa Ana, CA is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team on a Contract basis. They are seeking an individual that has experience with high-volume, multi-state payroll and brings strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process payroll for 2,500+ employees on a weekly and bi-weekly basis
• Reconciliation of timecards and payroll data in UKG software
• Utilize software to sort compliance tracking and audit data for reporting purposes monthly
• Process garnishments on a bi-weekly basis - 25 on average
• Support various projects related to customers job sites and process timekeeping data that will be uploaded into UKG for reporting
• Additional responsibilities as required by management
