Job summary

El Dorado County Office of Education is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our district team in Placerville, CA. You will perform complex payroll processing for multiple departments and programs under supervision of the Director or Manager of Business Services.

Strong accuracy and knowledge of payroll regulations are essential, with education/public agency experience preferred. Initial salary placement is on the first step of the range; EDCOE offers comprehensive benefits including

Add'l Salary Info Initial salary placement is on the first step of range; EDCOE pays $600/month toward medical, no cost dental, life insurance, EAP, long term disability; $4.64/month vision; CalPERS retirement.

Length of Work Year 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 261 days per year, 12 months per year

Mandatory Testing Date Multiple choice test link will be sent after application deadline and is due by 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Those who pass will attend practicum testing over Zoom at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026.
