CFS in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a fast-paced, hybrid payroll team. You’ll process bi-weekly payroll for ~1,600–1,700 employees, using ADP Workforce Now, and collaborate across states and Canada/UK payroll partners. This role demands strong accuracy, multi-state knowledge, and exceptional customer service.

Hybrid schedule (2 days in office, 3 days remote) with a supportive leadership team and opportunities to grow with experienced payroll professionals.

Qualifications

Overview Of The Payroll Specialist Role

• Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 1,600-1,700 employees across multiple payroll groups.
• Process payroll accurately using ADP Workforce Now.
• Review and audit payroll data, ensuring accuracy before payroll submission.
• Process employee reimbursements through Concur.
• Generate payroll reports using ADP Workforce Now and Workforce Manager.
• Assist with multi-state payroll processing, including employees in California and other states.
• Coordinate with third-party payroll providers for Canadian and UK payroll processing.
• Review time and attendance data and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Support payroll funding file preparation and related payroll activities.
• Respond to employee payroll questions and provide exceptional customer service.
• Partner with the Payroll Manager on payroll projects and process improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality while ensuring compliance with payroll policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications For The Payroll Specialist

• 3-5+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
• Experience processing payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Knowledge of payroll laws and payroll best practices.
• Experience with timekeeping systems is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Analytical mindset with a desire to understand payroll processes - not simply complete tasks.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
