A-Better Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our finance/HR team. You will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of company-wide payrolls while ensuring compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.

We will diagnose and perform repairs or installations correctly the first time. We also service all brands, but are a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer and are NATE certified.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Payroll Specialist to join our finance/HR team. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of company-wide payrolls, ensuring all employees are compensated correctly while maintaining strict compliance with relevant labor laws and tax regulations.

Requirements

Experience: Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll/bookkeeping role.

Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding employee data.

Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
