Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking a Payroll Specialist in New York City to support a high‑volume payroll operation during a Workday implementation. The role requires hands‑on Workday payroll experience and processing for 1,000+ employees.

You will maintain records, audit data for accuracy and compliance, handle garnishments and deductions, respond to employee inquiries, and generate payroll reports using Excel. This is a contract‑to‑hire, on‑site position in Long Island City with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience processing payroll for large employee populations (1,000+).
• Hands-on Workday payroll experience required.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax, garnishments, and payroll compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Fully on-site position in Long Island City, NY.
• Standard business hours, Monday through Friday.

Immediate need for a Payroll Specialist in Long Island City, NY. This role will support a high-volume payroll operation during a Workday implementation.
