Job summary

Renewal By Andersen of Boise is seeking a payroll professional to process semi-monthly payroll for about 700 employees across WA, ID, CA, and OR. You will ensure accuracy and compliance under CFO supervision.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of payroll experience, multi-state knowledge, and proficiency with HRIS systems; Excel skills and clear cross-functional communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees
  • Experience with multi-state payroll
  • Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws and payroll taxes
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity/ADP/UKG/Workday)
  • Advanced Excel skills for formulas, data analysis, auditing, and reporting
  • Collaborative team player with can-do attitude
  • Degree or CPP certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process accurate semi-monthly payroll for ~700 employees across multiple states
  • Audit payroll data including hours, commissions, bonuses, deductions, taxes, and PTO
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state/local payroll laws
  • Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Operations for accuracy and compliance
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll workflows, reporting, and automation
  • Draft and maintain clear communications to teams across locations

What You’ll Do
  • Process accurate semi-monthly payroll for approximately 700 employees across multiple states (WA, ID, CA, and OR) and legal entities.
  • Audit payroll data including hours worked, commissions, bonuses, deductions, taxes, garnishments, PTO balances, and benefit deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Operations to support payroll accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll workflows, reporting, automation, and operational efficiencies.
  • Draft, distribute, and maintain clear, professional, and timely written communications to team members and leaders across multiple locations.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees.
  • Experience processing multi-state payroll.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, garnishments, and deductions.
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems such as Paylocity, ADP, UKG, Workday, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated experience using Excel for formulas, data analysis, auditing, and reporting.
  • A mature team player that thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Approach any challenge with a can-do attitude and take a creative approach to accomplishing tasks.
Bonus Points
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
