Job summary

Pikemann in Kent, WA is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team as a direct hire, full-time employee. This on-site role handles biweekly multi-state payroll with precision and confidentiality.

You will audit payroll data, maintain records, and produce reports, supporting salaried and Canadian payroll as needed. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll processing, strong Excel skills, and a disciplined, confidential approach.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years payroll processing experience required.
  • Accurate data entry and basic math skills required.
  • Proficient in Excel and business software.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, able to meet deadlines independently.
  • Strong communication with a diverse workforce and strict confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance, wage/hour rules, and payroll tax practices.

Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end biweekly payroll for hourly employees.
  • Ensure accurate taxes, deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll data (new hires, terminations, rate changes, transfers).
  • Perform pre- and post-payroll audits and reconciliations.
  • Serve as primary contact for payroll questions; resolve issues promptly.
  • Produce payroll, labor distribution, attendance, and compliance reports.
  • Support special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Role Overview

Handles biweekly multi-state payroll with precision and confidentiality. Audits payroll data, processes adjustments, maintains accurate records, and prepares payroll reports. Provides backup support for salaried and Canadian payroll. Works within established procedures while meeting strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process end-to-end biweekly payroll for hourly employees
  • Ensure accurate taxes, deductions, benefits, and garnishments
  • Maintain and update employee payroll data (new hires, terminations, rate changes, transfers)
