Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a meticulous Payroll Specialist to manage full-cycle payroll for a diverse portfolio of clients. This fully remote role allows nationwide applicants with optional hybrid or on-site opportunities in Greenville, SC.

You will answer payroll questions, ensure accuracy, and deliver exceptional service. Applicants should have hands-on payroll processing experience, knowledge of payroll taxes and deductions, and comfort handling confidential information.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle payroll processing for an assigned portfolio.

• Review payroll reports, identify inconsistencies, resolve issues.
• Assist with payroll tax reporting, quarterly filings, year-end activities.
• Help clients navigate payroll software and employee self-service tools.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Location

Fully Remote (Anywhere in the U.S.) with hybrid and on-site options available in Greenville, SC, and Anderson, SC. We welcome experienced payroll professionals nationwide!

Note

Prior hands-on payroll processing experience is required. Candidates must be based in the United States. Experience with iSolved is a plus but is not required.

Job Description

• Manage full-cycle payroll processing for an assigned portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Build strong client relationships by answering payroll questions, resolving discrepancies, and providing exceptional service.
• Process employee changes, deductions, direct deposits, garnishments, bonuses, and off-cycle payrolls.
• Review and audit payroll reports, identify inconsistencies, and proactively resolve issues.
• Assist with payroll tax reporting, quarterly filings, and year-end payroll activities.
• Help clients navigate payroll software, timekeeping, PTO, and employee self-service tools.
• Collaborate with our payroll, accounting, and financial services teams to continuously improve the client experience.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on payroll processing experience required.
• Familiarity with payroll taxes, deductions, and applicable payroll regulations.
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to manage deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Comfortable working independently and handling confidential information.
• Experience with iSolved, ADP, or similar payroll software is a plus.
• Experience supporting multiple clients and payroll tax filings is preferred.
